The US Federal Reserve opted to keep rates unchanged after the January meeting. Japan’s Nikkei saw a modest increase of 0.66% to reach 36,395.71, while the Kospi declined by 1.16% to 2,585.85.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 0.38 percent to close at 38,654.42 during the most recent session of US futures trading. The NASDAQ increased by 1.74 percent and the S&P 500 by 1.07 percent, respectively. US futures were up on a better jobs report and better-than-expected quarterly earnings, particularly from Microsoft and Meta, two of the biggest software companies.
