Adani Green Energy reported to the BSE that it reached a significant milestone within 12 months of initiating work on the Khavda RE park. The journey began with the establishment of fundamental infrastructure, such as roads and connectivity, followed by the establishment of a self-sustaining social ecosystem.

In Wednesday’s trading session, the stock of Adani Green Energy Ltd (Adani Green) rose by almost 4 percent. This increase came following an announcement from the company, which is the largest renewable energy (RE) firm and the second-largest solar photovoltaic (PV) developer globally, confirming the operationalization of a 551 MW solar capacity project in Khavda, Gujarat. The project has commenced supplying power to the national grid.

Adani Green Energy announced in a submission to the BSE that it reached a significant milestone within a year of initiating work on the Khavda RE park. The process began with the establishment of essential infrastructure, such as roads and connectivity, alongside the creation of a self-sustaining social ecosystem.

“AGEL additionally converted the difficult and barren landscape of the Rann of Kutch into a livable environment suitable for its 8,000 employees. AGEL aims to establish 30 GW of renewable energy capacity within this RE park. This projected capacity is anticipated to become operational within the upcoming five years. Upon completion, the Khavda RE park will stand as the largest renewable energy installation globally,” as stated by the company.

Following the development, the stock gained 3.57 percent to reach a high of Rs 1,882 on the BSE.

According to Adani Green, the energy generated by the Khavda RE park can power 16.1 million homes annually. With its demonstrated proficiency in executing expansive renewable ventures, a resilient supply chain network, and advanced technological capabilities, AGEL stands at the forefront for constructing this groundbreaking Giga scale plant, unparalleled in the global clean energy arena, the statement highlighted. The Adani group company noted that the region possesses some of the country’s finest wind and solar resources, rendering it an ideal location for large-scale renewable energy development. AGEL conducted thorough investigations and implemented various innovative solutions to expedite the plant’s development, the statement conveyed.
