Bajaj Auto announced on November 1 that its total sales increased by 19 percent year on year (YoY) to 471,188 units in October of this year.

In October 2022, the company had dispatched 395,238 units.

Year-to-date (YTD) domestic unit sales increased by 25% to 1,608,730 units sold in the April-October 2023 period, compared to 1,290,128 units sold in the April-October 2022 period.

Wholesale Numbers

According to a regulatory filing, Bajaj Auto’s total dispatches to dealers increased by 36% last month to 329,618 units, up from 242,917 units the previous month.

According to the company, this was its highest-ever monthly wholesale.

Exports

However, total exports fell by 7% year on year to 141,570 units in October, down from 152,321 units the previous year.

YTD in April-October 2023, exports fell 21% to 943,818 units from 1,189,768 the previous year.

Q2 Results

On October 18, 2023, Bajaj Auto released its Q2 FY24 results. YoY, the topline increased by 6.23 percent and profit increased by 17.48 percent. Revenue increased by 5.1 percent and profit increased by 22.86 percent compared to the previous quarter.

Selling, general, and administrative expenses decreased by 0.12 percent quarter on quarter (QoQ) but increased by 11.41 percent year on year (Y-o-Y).

Operating income increased 10.48 percent quarter over quarter and 21.17 percent year over year.

For Q2 FY24, the EPS is 71.4, up 18.8 percent year on year.
