Auto Gear Shift

Auto Gear Shift (AGS) represents a sophisticated automatic transmission technology that seamlessly blends the advantages of both manual and automatic transmissions, as outlined in an ANI report. Originally introduced by MSI in India back in 2014, AGS operates by automating gear shifts and clutch control electronically, eliminating the need for manual intervention by the driver.

Key to the functioning of this automatic transmission system is the Intelligent Shift Control Actuator, which is managed by the Transmission Electronic Controller unit. This advanced system continuously evaluates driving conditions, allowing it to adjust automatic gear shifts in real time to optimize performance. -Maruti Suzuki

AGS is ingeniously designed with its components integrated into the car’s transmission unit, ensuring precise and synchronized clutch control, resulting in smoother gear transitions. This meticulous engineering contributes not only to improved performance but also to enhanced fuel efficiency, a highly sought-after feature in today’s automotive landscape.
