Stock markets holiday: BSE and NSE will be closed for Holi, resulting in only three trading sessions scheduled for this week.

Stock markets holiday: The Indian stock exchanges will be closed on Monday, March 25, in observance of Holi. This week, the markets will see only three trading sessions as the exchanges will also be closed on Friday, March 29, for Good Friday.

The currency, debt, and equity markets will also suspend operations, slated to recommence on Tuesday, March 26th.

Let’s know the days when markets are closed in April

The markets will be closed on April 11 for Eid-Ul-Fitr and April 17 for Ram Navami. Additionally, Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14 and Mahavir Jayanti on April 21 are scheduled to fall on weekends, making them non-trading days. These closures reflect the diverse cultural and religious observances within the community, ensuring that all members can participate fully in their respective celebrations. Investors are advised to plan their trading activities accordingly, taking into account these market closures and holidays.

At the end of Friday’s trading session, the NSE Nifty 50 index, comprising blue-chip stocks, rose by 0.39% to reach 22,096.75, whereas the BSE Sensex recorded a 0.26% gain, finishing at 72,831.94. The rupee faced significant pressure, hitting an all-time low of 83.43 per US dollar. This was attributed to a decline in the offshore Chinese yuan and robust local dollar demand. The day wrapped up with the rupee ending at a record closing low of 83.4250.
