Stocks: Sector-wise, the BSE Realty Index increased by 2%, the BSE Information Technology Index increased by 1.8%, and the BSE Capital Goods Index was up by 1%, while the BSE Power Index was down by 2.5%, the BSE Metal Index decreased by 2.3%, and the BSE Telecom index decreased by 2%.

The major indices in India finished even, bringing an extremely tumultuous week to a close. The market was under pressure during the first half of the week due to rising US bond yields, a stronger currency, and mixed car sales data; however, the market saw some relief from better domestic PMI data, an in-line RBI policy outcome, and lower crude oil prices.

Stocks: BSE Sensex gained 0.25 percent this week, or 167.22 points, to close at 65,995.63, and Nifty50 gained 15.2 points, closing at 19,653.50.

The BSE Small-cap index rose 0.8 percent, with Vascon Engineers, Sasken Technologies, Bhagiradh Chemicals and Industries, Authum Investment & Infrastructure, Raghav Productivity Enhancers, and Good Luck India all climbing 20 percent. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam, DCM Shriram Industries, Aarti Pharmalabs, Steel Exchange India, GE T&D India, Sat Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance, and Kalyani Steels, on the other side, declined 7-9 percent.

The BSE Mid-cap Index fell 0.8 percent, led by Dalmia Bharat, Glenmark Pharma, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Vodafone Idea, Steel Authority of India, CG Power and Industrial Solutions, and Supreme Industries. Godrej Industries, Godrej Properties, Solar Industries India, Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corp, MphasiS, and The Ramco Cements were among the winners.

One 97 Communications (Paytm), Interglobe Aviation, Bajaj Finserv, Titan Company, Bajaj Finance, and Avenue Supermarts were among the gainers on the BSE Large-cap Index, while Indus Towers, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Punjab National Bank, Marico, Hindalco Industries, and NTPC were among the losers.
