Suzlon Energy: This project will be a part of the tariff-based Wind-Solar Hybrid and STU (State Transmission Utility) project to increase the contribution of Renewable Energy in the state of Gujarat.
The KP Group awarded Suzlon Energy a repeat order for the development of a 193.2 MW wind power project, which caused the company’s shares to rise by more than 4% on December 21.
As part of the agreement, Suzlon is set to deliver 92 units of their S120 – 2.1 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) equipped with a 140 m Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower to locations in Vagra and Vilayat within the Bharuch district of Gujarat.
By 11:19 am, Suzlon Energy’s shares were up 3.4 percent, trading at Rs 36.85 on the NSE.
In the preceding week, the company secured an additional contract to undertake a 100.8 MW wind power project from a leading global utility firm.
The project, which was also based in Gujarat, called for Suzlon to install 32 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW and a hybrid lattice tubular tower. These generators are a part of the company’s 3 MW series.
The commercialization of Suzlon’s 3 MW – 3.15 MW wind turbine series was made possible by the government’s approval last month.
