Wipro shares: On Wednesday morning, Wipro Ltd., a major player in the IT industry, will be the center of attention after announcing that it has expanded its partnership with Intel Foundry to speed up innovation in chip design. The announcement followed Wipro’s post-market announcement on Tuesday announcing that it had increased its collaboration with IBM to provide customers with new AI services and support. Wipro shares its emphasis on working with Intel and launching an enterprise AI-ready platform
Wipro released the following statement before market hours: “Wipro will collaborate with Intel Foundry to expedite the development of Intel’s most cutting-edge process nodes, including the Intel18A process node, as the primary Design Services and Alliance Partner. The market for AI chips is anticipated to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 38% between 2023 and 2032. The goal of Wipro and Intel Foundry’s partnership is to meet the growing demand for AI chip manufacturing as businesses scramble to release products with generative AI capabilities.”
The share price of Wipro has increased by 32% over the last year and 11.4 percent so far this year.
Atul Kapur, Vice President & Business Head for HiTech at Wipro, stated that the collaboration will help chip supply and manufacturing as well as open up opportunities for Wipro. “Together with Intel, we will use Intel Foundry’s proven industry-standard flows and process technologies to deliver silicon devices to our clients. To assist our clients in reducing their time to market, we will be focusing on new startup markets, particularly in the Gen AI sector,” he stated.
The cooperation on AI and its successful application to design flows, according to Harmeet Chauhan, Global Head of Wipro Engineering Edge, will greatly benefit our clients. According to him, Wipro will take advantage of Intel’s robust global fabrication facilities to guarantee silicon availability by providing a resilient and geo-diverse semiconductor supply chain that helps customers from all industries and regions solve their silicon scarcity issues.
A new service called Wipro Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Ready Platform, which enables customers to build their enterprise-level, fully integrated, and customized AI environment, was earlier announced by Wipro.
